Booking
How do I book a ticket online?
Once you have decided on a film and film time simply click on your selection and you will be taken to the booking system. Here you will be able to select the number and type of tickets you require. When you are happy with your selection you will be asked to submit your email address, so that you can receive confirmation of your booking, and your payment details. If you have registered for Quick Booking, you will only have to enter your password. At any point prior to entering your payment details you can abort the booking process/make amends to your selection. Online booking is available only to those who accept UCI Cinemas' Terms of Use. For more information please click
here.
How do I know if my booking is confirmed?
At the end of your booking you will be given a confirmation number. Please keep a note of this number, as you will need to bring it along with your card when you collect your tickets at the cinema. You will also receive an email to confirm your booking.
What payment methods do you accept?
Tickets can be purchased using Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Laser cards. Unfortunately, we can no longer accept JCB, Electron, Solo, Style or Duet cards.
In all cases, UCI will charge a Booking Fee for transaction completed remotely on the telephone or internet. The Booking Fee is charged in addition to the stated price of the cinema ticket.
Our Gift Voucher can only be used in cinema.
Is it safe to use my credit or debit card over to book online?
Yes the systems used are extremely secure. UCI use various physical and electronic security measures to protect your personal information. Your transaction details are encrypted using SSL (secure socket layer) technology and UCI uses highly reputable credit/debit card security software to process your credit/debit card transactions remotely.
Why do you charge a Booking Fee?
The charging of a booking fee when pre-booking tickets is fairly standard within the leisure industry and represents a premium to cover the administration, development and maintenance costs of providing a remote booking process.
The fees charged are clearly shown during the booking process and will be shown on your booking confirmation screen and the email sent to your email address at the completion of the booking process.
Does the cardholder have to go to the cinema to collect the tickets?
For your protection against fraud we request that the cardholder is present to collect tickets. If the cardholder cannot be present on the day, they can collect the tickets anytime between making the booking and the day of the screening during normal box office hours.
Where can I collect my tickets?
You must take your credit/debit card with you to the cinema. You can collect your tickets from the cinema box office or from the Automatic Ticket Machines in the foyer (if available at your cinema).
If your booking contains a Student ticket, you will only be able to collect your tickets from the box office, as you will need to show your student ID.
I want to book a ticket for a date that is not displayed
Unfortunately we sometimes have to wait until the film distribution companies fully confirm details about a film before we can put tickets on sale. As soon as we know the films and times they will be displayed on the website. If you have an enquiry about the release date of a particular film, please check our list of 'Coming Soon' films by clicking
here.
Why can't I book a specific seat?
For quieter performances you are able to choose from ALL available seats when you enter the auditorium, rather than having to sit in a specific pre-booked seat.
Can I add extra seats to an existing booking?
If you were given specific row/seat numbers for your original booking please call our Internet Helpline on 1520 927 007 (Calls cost 15c per min, mobile costs may vary) to receive advice on how best to proceed. However, if your original booking did not specify a specific seat/row then you can simply complete a second booking for the additional tickets, as you will be able to choose from all available seats when you enter the auditorium.
I've made a mistake with my booking- what should I do?
If you have not yet completed your booking (i.e. you have not yet been given a confirmation number or received your confirmation email) you can just close your browser window and start again.
However, if you have been given the confirmation number, your credit/debit card will have already been processed by UCI and you should contact our Internet Helpdesk on 1520 927 007 (Calls cost 15c per min, mobile costs may vary).
Why are some films not shown at my local UCI?
In situations where the film distribution companies only print a small number of copies of a film, they usually limit the number of cinemas in an area that can show the film. We are sometimes unsuccessful in obtaining a copy of the film however it will usually be showing at another cinema somewhere in your area. Frequently, films that receive a small release but get great reviews will be shown as part of our Director's Chair season. Please

What does the 15A certificate mean?

Advice is given regarding the content of the film and the ADULT must decide if it is appropriate for the accompanying under 15.
