What´s the plot?

From Martin Scorsese, ‘Shutter Island’ is a psychological thriller starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo and Ben Kingsley.

U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels is assigned to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a patient from Shutter Island Ashecliffe Hospital for the criminally insane. However, he soon wonders if the hospital doctors have lured him to the island as part of a twisted plot.

As the investigation unfolds, a hurricane cuts off all communication with the mainland and, in the confusion, more dangerous criminals escape. Now Teddy fears for his own sanity.
IFCO Consumer Advice
Moderate/strong psychological threat. Some violent scenes and bloody injuries. Graphic WWII concentration camp footage. One moderate/strong sex reference and strong language. This is at the higher end.
