What´s the plot?
Comedy drama ‘The Descendants’, from the director of Oscar-winning Sideways, follows Matt King (George Clooney), a complacent and wealthy Hawaiian landowner who is forced to reappraise his comfortable existence when his wife is killed in an accident.
The film examines his relationship with his two daughters as he decides whether or not to sell the land that’s kept the family rich since they were awarded it by Hawaiian royalty hundreds of years previously.

This is a really enjoyable 115 minutes. Known as a dramedy this is a serious comedy with George Clooney playing the lead role giving us an Oscar winning performance. His two daughters are cast expertly and the relationship with them and their dad forms the basis of the film. Funny and sad at the same time this is one for all ages and even the men will enjoy. There are also some great views of the Hawaiin landscape
